How long does detox take?

The length of time it takes to detox varies according to the addiction, dual diagnosis conditions and the individual's specific physical and emotional needs. The length of stay at Jupiter Lighthouse Detox ranges from five to seven days.

Is a rehabilitation center the same as a detoxification center?

No. Detoxification is the first step toward recovering from substance dependency. Once a client’s body is physically cleansed of addictive substances, this will make it possible for them to work toward long-term recovery or therapy in a rehabilitation center.

Should I choose a local facility or travel for care?

If you wish for your family to be involved in your recovery process, you may desire a detox program that is located within your geographic area. However, for many people, codependency issues can often complicate recovery. By choosing a facility that offers a full array of services designed to treat a variety of issues, your chances of recovery can be increased. Lighthouse Detox accepts clients from all over the U.S. and offers pickup from several South Florida airports, including the West Palm Beach International Airport and the Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport.
